● Ken is a CPA and is recognized by the ARDA Educational Institute as a Registered Resort Professional (RRP).  He is a licensed builder in South Carolina and a Real Estate Broker in both North and South Carolina. He presently serves as Co-Chairman of the American Resort Development Association Resale Committee, is a member of ARDA-Resort Owners Coalition Executive Council, has served as an Awards Judge for management categories in ARDA for many years, and is Chairman of ARDA-Carolina.§ 

● His previous experience includes that of partner and principal in a CPA firm for 15 years; controller and financial vice president for a large privately-held industrial maintenance and real estate development firm; participated in the development of numerous timeshare resorts in Myrtle Beach, SC; and is principal of a sales and marketing company.§ 

● He is married and has two married sons, one daughter, and six grandchildren and is a Deacon at Wampee Baptist Church, where he also serves as a Sunday School Teacher.

§● Mark joined Defender Resorts in 1985. He has more than 20 years of extensive hospitality experience involving all facets of resort and property management operations and is a shareholder in Defender Resorts, Inc.  Mark’s responsibilities have included the complete management oversight and operations planning for timeshare, quarter-share and whole ownership properties and associations. Other responsibilities included planning, reviewing and implementing the corporation’s policy & procedures, contract review and negotiations, insurance policy(s) review, and new business development.

● Mark’s extensive knowledge and background leads to a high proficiency within all areas of both property management and team building programs that are necessary to achieve a successful and cohesive resort operation. Mark has been involved in various community as well as industry organizations and is a current member of ARDA – Resort Owners’ Coalition, Horry County School-Business Partnership Council and Myrtle Beach Area Hospitality Association.

● Frank is a Vacation Ownership professional who has over 25 years of management and sales and marketing experience in this industry.  He has a degree in business and holds a real estate license in South Carolina, North Carolina and Tennessee.  He is a member of the American Resort Development Association, ARDA Carolinas, Grand Strand Vacation Ownership and The Myrtle Beach Chamber Co-Op Members Association. He has been a guest speaker at many ARDA functions over the years. §

● Frank is also the Executive Vice President of Defender Realty, Inc. and is a shareholder in  Defender Resorts, Inc. He has been involved in the sales, marketing and development of timeshare properties in a number of states over the years.  He and his partner started Defender Realty, Inc. in 1990 and has established that company as a major leader in the vacation ownership resale market along the East Coast. §

●  He is a member at Lakeside Baptist Church were he serves on a number of committees.
